The San Roque Cathedral is located at A. Mabini Street, Caloocan City. It is just in front of the Caloocan City Hall and beside La Consolacion College. It is the official Cathedral-Church of the Bishop of Caloocan, and is one of the most historical church in the country.

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CATHEDRAL, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines

The Immaculate Conception Cathedral, popularly known as Puerto Princesa Cathedral, is located in Barangay Liwanag along Rizal Avenue, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. It is the Cathedral-Church of the Apostolic Vicariate of Palawan.

You can visit this Church by taking a flight from Manila to Puerto Princesa City. From there, look for tricycles and ask the driver to bring you to the Cathedral. The Tricycle, by the way, is the most common mode of transportation around Puerto Princesa City.

OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL MONASTERY CHURCH, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines


The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Monastery Church is located at P. Gomez Street, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. It is under the care of the Community of Discalced Carmelite Nuns, and is under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Laoag.

The Church is located just beside the Bishop's House. I visited this Church in the year 2011.

SAN AGUSTIN CHURCH (Immaculate Conception Parish / Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Correa), Manila, Philippines

The San Agustin Church (Immaculate Conception Parish / Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Correa) is located in Real Street, Intramuros, Manila, and is under the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Manila. It is the oldest stone church in the Philippines and houses the miraculous marian image of Our Lady of Consolacion y Correa.

How to go here using public transportation:

  • If you are coming from the North (Monumento Area):
    • Option 1: You may ride the LRT and alight off at Cariedo Station. From there, look for Jeepneys bound to PIER. Ask the driver to bring you to the Manila Cathedral. From the Cathedral, you can just walk or ride a pedicab going to the San Agustin Church.
    •  Option 2: You may ride the LRT and alight off at Cariedo Station. From there, look for Jeepneys bound to MABINI. Ask the driver to drop you at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM). From there, you can just walk or ride a pedicab going to the San Agustin Church.
  • If you are coming from the South (Baclaran Area):
    • Option 1: You may ride the LRT and alight off at Cariedo Station. From there, look for Jeepneys bound to PIER. Ask the driver to bring you to the Manila Cathedral. From the Cathedral, you can just walk or ride a pedicab going to the San Agustin Church.
    • Option 2: You may ride the LRT and alight off at Central Terminal Station. From there, walk towards Manila City Hall and use the underpass going to Intramuros (MAPUA Gate). From there, you can just walk or ride a pedicab going to the San Agustin Church.

MINOR BASILICA OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION (Manila Cathedral), Manila, Philippines

The Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, commonly known at the Manila Cathedral, is located in Cabildo corner Beaterio Streets, Intramuros, Manila. The Cathedral is considered as the "Mother of all Churches" in the Philippines. It is the official church of the Archbishop of Manila.

How to go here using public transportation:
  • If you are coming from the North (Monumento Area):
    • Option 1: You may ride the LRT and alight off at Cariedo Station. From there, look for Jeepneys bound to PIER. Ask the driver to bring you to the Manila Cathedral.
